December News & Upcoming Events

It's been a while since I've made a blogpost! I hope everyone has been doing well and enjoying the holidays. We have a few events coming up that I wanted to take a moment to share about!

On Saturday the 14th, we are having a "Triple Birthday Bash" party for myself, Lindsay Conly, and Steven Harper. We're having a "dip potluck" so please feel free to bring your own dip (and snacks!) The party starts at 8PM and goes on until 1AM. There will be a live DJ during the event and plenty of cake to go around!

On Wednesday the 18th, we are having our usual third Wednesday meeting at Kava Kula from 7PM-9PM but with a festive twist! This will be Unity's FIRST annual Christmas party! We are still working on the details, but I promise you it'll be a blast. If you would like to bring your own Christmas decorations and help us decorate, please arrive at least an hour before the meeting starts.

On Friday the 27th, Mike and Zoey are hosting their own class to teach members how to play the popular trading card game, Magic: The Gathering at Kava Kula starting at 6PM. If you already know how to play, please feel free to bring your deck(s) to play or even demonstrate to beginners!

Last month, Olive and Ivy started up Unity's first food drive. You can bring your donations (non-perishable food items, children's books, and toys) to Kava Kula, Holistic House, Novel Tea, and/or Fern & Fable Books. We are also starting up Unity's very own food bank meant to support our own club members in need. Please email us at unityoformondbeach@outlook.com if you are interested in helping out!
